The Christmas Cactus

I bought a Christmas cactus today
Because my heart is dying to bloom
Two red blossoms painted in naivete
And a little pink bud just peeking through

Standing there, my posies in hand
I shared a story with a stranger
My mother I said, has some plants like these
and then the stranger said...
ok.

Stop winding the string of certainty
Just validate my reality

I don't wanna be just ok.
I want to run, to sing, to breath
A little pink bud just peeking through
Maybe just maybe I'm moving on instead of passing through
again again again
passing through to you
